Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our client's team of healthcare professionals in Shropshire hospitals. As an RGN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being throughout their hospital stay. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and create personalized care plans tailored to their individual needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients' conditions closely, recognizing any changes and taking appropriate actions to address any deterioration.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and comforting environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatments, and observations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education to enhance your nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights, preferences, and dignity are respected at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • A degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working as an RGN in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare technology and electronic medical records systems.
  • Understanding of and adherence to professional and ethical nursing standards.
