We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children Assessment Unit Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in York. The Children Assessment Unit Nurse will play a vital role in assessing, caring for, and managing pediatric patients in our specialised unit. Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients upon admission and throughout their stay in the Children Assessment Unit.
2. Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in the patient's condition, promptly reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
5. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, ensuring they are informed and involved in the care and treatment process.
6. Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
7. Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to assist in the care and monitoring of pediatric patients.
8. Participate in educational and professional development activities to stay current with pediatric nursing best practices.
9. Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure York.
2. Previous pediatric nursing experience is highly desirable.
3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and their families.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
