Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our client healthcare team in Falkirk. As an RGN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment and Care:

    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and care needs, including physical, emotional, and psychological aspects.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans, administering medications, treatments, and interventions as required.
  2. Clinical Procedures:

    • Perform a range of clinical procedures such as wound care, injections, and catheterization, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
  3. Medication Management:

    • Administer medications accurately and safely, following prescribed dosage and timing.
    • Maintain meticulous medication records and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  4. Patient Education:

    • Educate patients and their families on managing their health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care.
    • Provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
  5. Collaborative Care:

    • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to the development of holistic care plans.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records (EHR).
    • Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with healthcare policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
  • Previous experience as an RGN, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care and adhering to ethical and professional standards.
