Job Title: ICU Nurse
Location: Southampton
Pay Rate: £26 - £34 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, and administer appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment and devices.
- Assist in emergency situations and resuscitation efforts.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to professional, legal, and ethical standards and guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration.
- Proven experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of critical care practices, protocols, and equipment.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights, as required.
