Out with the old, in with the new.

It's time to talk about nurse pay rates. It’s been a year since we first launched our Nurse Salary Hub, a platform dedicated to offering up to date nurse salary data and nurse pay rates information for healthcare professionals across the country. Want to find out how much agency nurses are getting paid? Interested in nurse salary data for the healthcare industry? Visit the Nurse Salary Hub now

Looking back over the past 12 months, we’ve seen a number of recruitment trends and changes in the market. We’ve added a number of new hotspot areas to our Nurse Salary Hub, in no particular order; Basingstoke, York, Blackburn, Belfast and Stockport. These are regions in which we’re experiencing a consistent high demand for nurses and healthcare assistants. If you’re looking for a change, explore our Nurse Salary Hub for your next career move. These regions offer private accommodation or on-site accommodation, block bookings and a range of shift patterns to suit your preferences. We’ve seen an increase in nurse pay rates across several regions where the demand is high, with many areas offering a premium for nurses willing to relocate.

The Healthcare industry has faced a number of challenges over the last 12 months, and we continue to be immensely proud of the resilience and dedication demonstrated by our Healthcare and Nursing workforce. Mayday Healthcare has seen some incredibly positive trends in regards to healthcare and nursing recruitment. Our job applications are up over 300% from last year, and we’ve experienced a 27% increase in engagement across our website. These positive indicators are a testament to the continued growth of the nursing industry, in spite of the challenges.

As expected, the areas of highest demand have been Registered Nurses, ICU Nurses, HDU Nurses and Healthcare Assistants (HCA), particularly in direct response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We are now seeing an increase in some other areas and services that are now opening up again, after being suspended during lockdown.
