At the centre of our Child Services team is Jordanne, our Head of Child Placements. Her experience and commitment play an important role in the services we deliver. Today, we’re sharing more about her background and career journey in the health and social care sector.
A Career Built on Passion and Progress
Jordanne’s career in healthcare recruitment spans an impressive 18 years, beginning in Adult Services before she found her calling within Children’s Services a decade ago. Her journey is a testament to hard work and continuous growth:
“I have been working in healthcare recruitment for the last 18 years initially starting in Adult Services and the last 10 years being solely focussed on Children Services. I started as an Administrator and was promoted over the years until I reached my current position which is Head of Child Placements.”
Over the years, Jordanne has steadily progressed from an Administrator to leading our entire Child Placements department — a role that demands both strong leadership and deep compassion.
Leading With Care and Commitment
In her current position, Jordanne oversees and coordinates specialised support packages for high-risk children in care. This involves collaborating with multiple professionals and agencies to ensure children receive the highest level of support.
“My role involves managing and coordinating packages of support for high risk children in care. This often involves MDT working with professionals such as CAMHS and Social Services along with managing a large staff team and ensuring the child is safeguarded and their needs met at all times.”
Her leadership ensures that every child placed in our care is supported, safeguarded, and seen as an individual with unique needs and experiences.
A Strong Foundation of Skill and Knowledge
Jordanne’s professional progress is supported by a strong academic and practical background. She completed her NVQ Level 4 in Adults in 2012, followed by an NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (Children and Young People Management).
“In addition to my recruitment experience I have undertaken several part time roles in Health and Social Care to grow my knowledge in the sector. I have worked in Child Residential Homes, Outreach Worker, Social Work Assistant in Child Services and with adults and children with learning disabilities.”
This hands-on experience has given her invaluable insight into the realities faced by both children and frontline care teams.
A Role That Inspires Every Day
What stands out most about Jordanne is her genuine love for her work. Every day brings something new — and that’s exactly what motivates her.
“I find my job really interesting and no day is ever the same. I enjoy the variety of referrals I receive and whilst they are all children in care, they all have their own background history.”
We are incredibly proud to have Jordanne leading our Child Placements team. Her extensive experience, leadership, and unwavering dedication ensure that every child we support receives care that is safe, tailored, and transformative.
