Are you a Paediatric Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge?

We are looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist available as soon as possible for a full time position working Mon-Fri 08.00-17.00 based in Surrey; the role will require you to travel between sites so ideally you will be a car driver. The role is working across a number of schools in the Surrey area with children that have varying levels of needs including developmental, specific learning difficulties and sensory processing needs.

You will be working within a very busy environment so must be able to manage own caseload in an efficient and timely manor. Ideally you will also have experience in a school/college setting and sensory experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that young people are prepared for the transition to adult life
  • Chair and bath assessments
  • Fine motor assessments
  • Treating patients with complex needs, learning difficulties 
  • To develop treatment programmes designed for specific children.
  • To design activities for individual and group therapy.
  • To organise and run small group therapy sessions for children.
  • To liaise with other professionals and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development.

Skills and experience needed:

  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Relevant degree/qualifications
