Job Description
An exciting role at the heart of the operations of the company: the post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of an efficient complaints system, in line with the Mayday Complaints Policy and the guidelines of the NHS Framework.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for receiving, logging, handling and investigating complaints – in line with Mayday Healthcare Policies as well as NHS’. The role’s crucial goal is resolving complaints within the agreed timescales whilst providing an excellent level of service both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

  • Make decisions, using clinical knowledge and experience to interview potential agency nurses and regulate the classification and placement of nurses and healthcare assistants.
  • To facilitate training for Mayday Healthcare and its associated companies, be it weekly mandatory training or with our regular CPD sessions
  • Have knowledge of the LPP & HTE frameworks, the NMC Code of Conduct and the revalidation process in order to; accurately complete agency nurse appraisals and assistant candidates with the process of revalidation.
  • Liaising internally and externally to collate the necessary information to investigate and resolve complaints within the agreed timescales set out by Mayday Healthcare Policy and NHS;
  • To monitor courses to ensure maximum attendance and provide innovative ways of growing our training department through database use and social media.
  • To liaise with and provide support to colleagues in London Victoria in relation to Agency Worker compliance issues


  • Excellent written and verbal English Skills;
  • Ability to communicate across the multi-disciplinary spectrum
  • Nursing qualification and current registration with NMC;
  • Good understanding of clinical procedures and practices common to the NHS and private healthcare providers;
  • Excellent communication skills – the ideal candidate is able to manage and communicate information clearly and concisely across the company and to external organisations;
  • Good administrative and computer skills;

One or more of the following skills would be a strong advantage

  • Previous experience in complaints handling (training will be provided)
  • Previous experience in administrative role

Salary range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00AM to 5.30PM
