At Mayday Healthcare we believe in being prepared. In anticipation of a mass outbreak of Swine Flu over the winter months, we have put together a contingency plan to ensure that if the worst does happen, the high levels of service that we currently provide, will be affected as little as possible.
The Swine Flu virus has been of national and international concern over the past year and as we head towards the winter, the worry is that hospitals and GP surgeries will be inundated with suspected new cases of the disease. There is also growing concern that should a sizable number of medical professionals succumb to the virus, healthcare organisations will be unable to cope. As a result, Mayday is recruiting for nurses and locum doctors across the UK. This is due to both the need for additional members of staff to help manage the increasing demand on both hospitals and surgeries and also to combat the problems caused by nurses and doctors being personally affected by the pandemic.
We understand that if full time members of staff fall ill, their shifts will need to be covered by replacement staff at short notice. As one of the UK’s leading nursing and locum recruitment agencies, our consultants work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to ensure that we meet our clients’ needs for temporary staff quickly and efficiently. We have put together a document detailing our contingency plan that enables us to be prepared for all eventualities. The plan itself explains how we will maintain staffing levels within healthcare organisations at all times and directly addresses the concerns of both our clients and our candidates. All of our consultants have been fully briefed with regards to the plan so should you have any questions or would like to discuss anything further, we will be more than happy to help you. |
